A diwan is an old idea — a council, a register, a place where a community's affairs are recorded and conducted over time. It is a deliberate name, because the thing PRVAI is building is closer to that than to the thing most people picture when they hear "AI assistant." Diwan OS is not a chatbot with a personality bolted on. It is designed as an Arabic-first lifecycle operating system: one agent that handles many jobs, over a long relationship, with a single memory running underneath all of it. These are field notes on the ideas that shape it, and the problems they are meant to solve.
The problem with the assistants you already have
Two failures are so common in today's assistants that people have stopped noticing them. The first is amnesia. Each conversation starts near zero; the system that helped you yesterday has no idea it did. The second is fragmentation. You end up with a fleet of single-purpose bots — one for support, one for payments, one for scheduling — each a stranger to the others, each holding a shard of context none of them can share. The result is a lot of local cleverness and no cumulative understanding. You do the work of being the memory and the router yourself, ferrying context between tools that were never introduced.
Diwan OS is built against both failures at once, and the design follows from taking them seriously.
Rent the models, own the durable layer
Start with a decision about where the value lives. The foundation-model market moves too fast, and costs too much, to bet a company on training your own frontier model every year — and the returns on doing so are collapsing as the models commoditize. So Diwan OS takes the pragmatic position: rent the best foundation models available at any given moment, Arabic-native or otherwise, and own the layer above them that actually compounds. That layer is voice, memory, and orchestration. Models will keep getting better and cheaper on someone else's schedule. The durable value is the connective intelligence that makes them useful to you, specifically, over years.
One agent, many jobs
Rather than a bot per task, Diwan OS is one agent that spans jobs across your lifecycle, so context from one task informs the next. The assistant that helped you make sense of a transaction is the same one that helps you plan around it, because it genuinely is the same agent with the same memory — not a set of disconnected services wearing a shared logo. That continuity is the whole point. It is what turns a collection of clever answers into something that accumulates into understanding.
The memory graph
Underneath sits the piece that makes it more than a good interface: a durable, private memory, structured as a graph of what matters to you, held under your control and enriched by every interaction. This is simultaneously the moat and the responsibility. The moat, because any competitor can call the same models but none can reconstruct your memory. The responsibility, because a memory this personal has to be private by construction rather than by policy — the same property that makes an assistant genuinely useful is the one that makes a careless version of it dangerous. We treat that as a design constraint, not a disclaimer.
Arabic-first, and what that actually means
Arabic-first is a constraint that shows up in the parts users feel — dialect and voice handled as first-class inputs rather than errors to be corrected, cultural context assumed instead of bolted on — and in the parts they should never have to think about, like where their data lives. In a region where residency is becoming a requirement, "Arabic-first" also means "region-resident by design." (We treat "sovereign" as a direction of travel rather than a finished claim; the honest version of that argument is its own piece.)
Why "operating system" is the right word
We call it an operating system on purpose, and not as a flourish. An OS is not an app. It is the layer other things run on — it manages resources, remembers state, and coordinates jobs on your behalf so you do not have to. Diwan OS aims to be exactly that for a person's digital life: the coordinating intelligence that sits above the apps and the models, holds the memory, and gets things done, so that you are not the one doing the ferrying and remembering.

That sentence is the whole design, and the reason it lives inside the group rather than beside it: the memory it depends on is the same backbone the wallet and the exchange draw from, which is a thing you can only build if you own more than one layer.
